Anne | August 2014 – September 2014

My name is Anne and I am 23 years old. I was at the children’s home between August and September 2014. I was there for an internship at a local school near the children’s home. The time in Masindi was unforgettable. The beginning was difficult, but thanks to the help of the aunties, I managed to settle in over time. Playing with the children, learning together, cooking with the aunties, trips to the city, as well as chapati (Ugandan pancakes) made me find a second home. I always gladly return in my memories to my time in Masindi and I hope that one day I will be able to go back there.
