I was in Uganda in the autumn of 2013, and I spent 6 weeks there. Apart from the first two days, when I was in huge culture shock, the whole 6 weeks were a wonderful experience. Wonderful landscapes, kind and friendly people, good food, and of course, the Window of Life family – it was all easy to fall in love with. Before leaving, I had very little contact with children, and I was very surprised at how quickly I settled in and how quickly the children wrapped me around their little fingers. I experienced a lot in Uganda, and I learned a lot… about children, about myself, and about people just in general. I am very happy that I could be there.
